Two higher education institutions with a local presence are included in Forbes magazine's special feature on “America’s Most Entrepreneurial Colleges and Universities.”
The feature, part of the Aug. 17 issue, includes an article on “How Liberal Arts Colleges Reinvent Themselves As Startup Factories.”
Northeastern University ranks No. 13 on the list of the 50 most entrepreneurial universities. The Boston-based university opened its Charlotte campus in January 2012.
Forbes included comments for schools in the top 20. On Northeastern University, the magazine writes: “It has partnered with more than 100 startup employers to connect students with six-month, full-time co-op experiences.”

Davidson College ranks No. 50 on the list of America's Most Entrepreneurial Colleges.
Davidson, which created its entrepreneurship program in 2013, recently named Hannah Levinson as the college's first director of entrepreneurship and innovation.
The listings are part of Forbes’ 8th annual ranking of America’s Top Colleges.
