Rose Chauffeured Transportation, a family-owned company founded in Charlotte 30 years ago, announced Tuesday it is acquiring MY Bus charter bus company.
Charlotte-based MY Bus was founded by Rebecca Cherry in 1999, who will now focus on her transportation safety consulting business, according to a statement. Rose’s acquisition provides MY Bus clients with additional services.
“We’re proud that Rebecca chose us to take care of her business and her loyal customers,” Tom Holden, director of operations for Rose, said in a statement. “We’re excited to extend them our 24-hour, 365-day-a-year operation plus an inventory of over 100 vehicles. They’ll now have access to sedans, SUVs, executive vans, and mini buses in addition to our luxury motor coaches.”
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
H.A. Thompson founded Rose Chauffeured Transportation 30 years ago with one car. Now, he and his son, company vice president Andy Thompson, and Holden direct an organization that uses town cars, sport utility vehicles, motor coaches and minibuses. Rose generated $10 million in revenue last year.
