A cyclist was struck and killed by a vehicle in southeast Charlotte Monday night, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said.
The victim, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene, the 4800 block of Monroe Road.
Investigators said the cyclist was riding inbound in the inside lane around 7:15 p.m. when struck from behind by a car going in the same direction, according to WBTV, the Observer’s news partner.
