Power restored to 3,330 homes in south Charlotte after equipment failure

Duke Energy crews were able to restore power to just over 3,330 homes in south Charlotte by 7 a.m., reports the Observer’s news partner WBTV.

The first outage was reported around 12:27 a.m., according to Duke Energy. It is believed the outage may be related to equipment that failed, reported WBTV.

Traffic signals at intersections along Johnston Road at Hwy 51, at Park Road and at Carmel Road were affected by the power outage.
