One man was killed and another person was injured following a shooting in east Charlotte Saturday afternoon.

According to Medic, two people were shot just before 3 p.m. in the 4100 block of Colebrook Road. Medic said one victim then walked to Briar Hill Drive.

Upon arrival to the scene shooting, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said they found a man that was shot twice. Officers then received a call that a second victim was shot as well.

CMPD said the first shooting victim died, and the second did not have life-threatening injuries.

Both victims were taken to Carolinas Medical Center.

Police said the victims knew each other and were with each other at the time of the shooting, which may have stemmed from a disagreement.

Police believe there may be multiple suspects, Observer news partner WBTV reported.
