Police have found the body of a 32-year-old man who was reported missing Tuesday.

Corey Julius Caldwell was found dead Wednesday afternoon in a wooded area near his home in the 1700 block of Sir Anthony Drive in north Charlotte.

Caldwell was reported missing Tuesday morning at 8:31 a.m. A family member told police that Caldwell had a cognitive issue, and the relative feared for his safety.

An investigation into Caldwell’s death is underway. Police said early indications suggest Caldwell’s death may have been a suicide.
