Kannapolis mom Courtney Parks says she is fed up after waking up Thursday morning with about $600 missing from her bank account. A video of her confronting the accused thief spread across social media shortly after. To see the video, click here.

Parks says a worker at the Kannapolis Steak & Shake stole her debit card information while she was processing her dinner order. She says after a long day of her own detective work, she eventually followed the charges made to her account back to the worker.

“I was like, 'you know what, I’m going to ride up there with my children and let her know who she stole from,' ” Parks said.

After filing a police report, Parks confronted the worker. She posted a video of the confrontation on social media.

“My kids’ daycare checks bounced because you stole all my bill money,” Parks says to the worker.

“I’m sorry about that,” the worker says in the video. “I’m willing to pay you all the money back.”

“It still makes me really hot, and shaky,” Parks said Thursday.

Parks says her account shows charges to local clothing and beauty supply shops, as well as Duke Power.

“I was like, at least they were responsible and paid their power bill,” Parks joked.
