Deputies said they found the victim at a nearby home, after she fled by vehicle from the shooting scene.

Conn admitted to shooting the victim without provocation, officials said. He was taken before a Lincoln County magistrate and charged with attempted first-degree murder. He was placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center without bond.
