Cheri Traywick, a Union County social services official, received the Order of the Long Leaf Pine last week. Traywick received the state’s highest civilian honor for a 30-year career in social services in three North Carolina counties – Union, Mecklenburg and Anson. She spent most of her career in Union County. Last year, she was appointed interim Family & Children’s Services program administrator. Adam Bell
