The storm system that moved up the east coast Monday is bringing a risk of rain to the Charlotte area Tuesday morning.
However, the high pressure cell will usher in tranquil weather Tuesday night into Wednesday, according to weather forecasters.
Predictions for Tuesday: Lingering showers and downpours will become less numerous between the morning, afternoon and evening. Temperatures will be in the high 70s, amid brisk northwest breezes.
Wednesday will be dryer, but chances of rain will be 30 to 40 percent through the Labor Day weekend. Daytime highs will be in the 80s.
