Two men accused of shooting at each other outside Hickory club, police say

Two men were injured in a shooting outside a club in Hickory early Saturday.

The double shooting happened at 2 a.m. outside of Club Rumba on US Highway 70 SW, Hickory police told the Observer’s news partner WBTV. Two men were shooting at each other and both were struck by bullets. Both men are expected to be OK, officers said.

Police identified the men as 37-year-old Eddie Carlos Linder and 28-year-old Terrall Lee Mitchell. Both went to Frye Regional Medical Center, reported WBTV.

Police are asking anyone with further information about the ongoing investigation to call the Hickory Police Department at 828-328-5551.

No information has been released on what prompted the shooting.

Charlotte TV station WSOC reported reported the two men were not cooperating with police.
