The incident started when Finandis’s wife, Felicia, 55, and her son got into an argument because his girlfriend was laughing at something they were watching on television, police said. Finandis’ son tried to step between the two women and was stabbed in the hand by his mother, who was holding a knife during the argument.
Johnny Finandis came into the residence and the argument continued until he and his wife went outside. While they were gone, those still inside the residence locked the door.
That is when Finandis returned with a shotgun and shot through the front door.
Johnny Finandis was charged with one felony count each of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and discharging a firearm into occupied property, officials said. He placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center a no bond hold, officials said.
Felicia Finandis was charged with one felony count of assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill and inflicting serious injury. She is being held in jail under a $25,000 secured bond.
