You won’t have to take a shuttle anymore for rental cars at Charlotte’s airport.
Charlotte Douglas International Airport has moved the airport’s rental cars from surface parking lots north of Concourse A to the bottom three levels of the airport’s new hourly parking deck.
That means travelers can walk directly to the rental cars from the terminal.
The new rental car facility holds 3,000 cars. There are 4,000 public hourly parking spaces on the deck’s upper levels.
Charlotte Douglas opened the $120 million hourly deck in November.
The airport plans to build a new, satellite concourse with additional gates where the rental cars were formerly located north of Concourse A.
