A trace amount of snow could fall just north of Charlotte late Sunday and early Monday, National Weather Service meteorologist Trisha Palmer said..

Lincoln, Iredell and Rowan counties could see a dusting of snow, but temperatures are expected to climb into the 50s later Monday, according to Palmer. No accumulation is expected, she said.

“We do have a rain-snow mix for just north of Charlotte early Monday,” Palmer said.

More snow is forecast during that time for higher elevations in the N.C. mountains, she said. Some areas could see an additional 2 or 3 inches, according to Palmer.
