Two people are dead and others are injured after a man crashed a car into Surf and Turf Lodge, a Bessemer City restaurant, around noon Sunday. The driver killed his daughter in the crash.

A funeral will be held Sunday in Gastonia for Corporal Katelyn Self, who was killed when her father drove a Jeep into a restaurant in May.

The funeral will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday at First Assembly of God in Gastonia, and she will be buried after the service, the family's pastor said Tuesday.

Self worked in the Gaston County Jail, officials said. She was 26 years old and engaged to be married, when she was killed May 20 in the crash at the Bessemer City Surf and Turf Lodge.

Her father Roger Self was charged with two counts of first-degree murder after the crash, which killed Katelyn and her sister-in-law Amanda Self. Several more family members, including Roger Self's wife, were injured.
