Athletes from Concord’s private Cannon School will take part in military-style strength and conditioning training this week at a Special Forces facility at Fort Bragg.

Students and coaches will undergo training similar to that of special operations soldiers, the Army said.

The training will take place at the 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) Tactical Human Optimization, Rapid Rehabilitation and Reconditioning facility, known as THOR3, on Thursday.

Green Berets from the Army’s John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School will lead the group through one event. THOR3 officials will lead a second training event.

Cannon School has more than 950 students in junior kindergarten through 12th grade.
