A Greyhound bus headed from Atlanta to New York with 48 passengers struck a large piece of metal and blew a tire on Interstate 85 in Davidson County Tuesday night, sending the bus off the road and into several trees, the State Highway Patrol said.
The trees kept the bus upright, and only minor injuries were reported, First Sgt. S.T. Harper of the State Highway Patrol said Wednesday. Some passengers were taken to Lexington Medical Center and other hospitals but had only bruises, bumps and minor cuts and scrapes, he said. Joe Marusak, Sam Hardiman
