Police on Thursday identified a body found under a home in east Charlotte as Richard Allen Hable, the owner of the home who had been missing since May.
Police suspected foul play in Hable’s disappearance, which was reported on Aug. 20. In a statement Wednesday night, officers said they were “concerned for his well being.”
Late Wednesday, investigators could be seen digging under Hable’s white home in the 7500 block of Bondhaven Road, where the 47-year-old was last seen alive.
Around 3 p.m. Thursday, they confirmed the body was Hable’s and said the case is being investigated as a homicide.
