A Rock Hill woman died Tuesday in a “tragic accident” after she became pinned between her SUV and her home.
The incident was reported about 3:45 p.m. on the 1200 block of Roundtree Circle, according to a police report. A woman called 911 said she had walked to a neighbor’s home to drop off a package, and while she was walking back she noticed 48-year-old Sheron Hinton pinned against her home by her 2015 Chevrolet Equinox.
Investigators say the vehicle was running and in gear when they arrived.
“She got out, it started to roll off and somehow she got pinned between her car and house,” said Rock Hill Police spokesman Mark Bollinger. “It was just a tragic accident.”
Hinton’s family said she has two children and a grandchild.
