The Charlotte area has only a slight chance Friday of seeing the thunderstorms that struck parts of the region Thursday, and all-sunshine and cooler temperatures are in store by Sunday.
The chance of thunderstorms stands at 30 percent Friday night and 40 percent Saturday night before the prospect of rain disappears, according to the National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg, S.C.
Temperatures, meanwhile, will cool to an expected high of only 76 Sunday and 77 Monday, kicking out the mugginess the region has endured of late.
Friday is expected to reach 86 and Saturday only 82.
