Drizzle and rain will likely stick around the Charlotte region for two more days.

Occasional drizzle is possible this morning and afternoon, with heavier rain expected Tuesday night, according to the National Weather Service in Greer, S.C.

A quarter- to a half-inch of rain is possible Tuesday night and another half- to three-quarters of an inch on Wednesday.

The chance of rain increases from 30 percent Tuesday morning and afternoon to 60 percent Tuesday night and 70 percent Wednesday.

The storm system will then move out of the region, and Thursday should be sunny.

Tuesday's high is forecast at a seasonable 59, with Wednesday's high at an above-normal 66.

Thursday is expected to drop to a high of 55 and Friday 56.

Lows, meanwhile, are forecast to drop from 57 Tuesday to 41 Wednesday and 35 Thursday and Friday nights.

A flood watch, meanwhile, is in effect for Taylorsville and Morganton on west into all mountain counties.
