A woman who investigators believe fatally shot her brother near Marshville Friday night then fled turned herself in Saturday to law enforcement in Dillon, S.C., Union County authorities said.

Elijah James Moore, 21, was shot at a house in the 6200 block of Old Pageland-Marshville Road apparently after he began to argue with his 19-year-old sister, Breanna Regina Moore, the Union County Sheriff’s Department said. During the argument, the sister allegedly pulled a gun from a car and fired at least one shot toward her brother, authorities said.

Elijah Moore was taken to Carolinas HealthCare System Union in Monroe, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.

Breanna Moore is expected to be charged with murder, authorities said. Late Saturday afternoon, Union County detectives were on their way to Dillon to bring the teenager back to Union County.

Anyone with information about this case should call the Union County Sheriff’s Office at 704-283-3789, or Union County Crime Stoppers at 704-283-5600.
