Catawba County Schools Superintendent Dan Brigman has resigned effective April 30 to pursue “other leadership responsibilities” outside the state, according to a resignation letter he sent to Board of Education Chairperson Marilyn McRee, the Hickory Daily Record reported.
Brigman will take an annual leave until April 30. He has been superintendent since July 2012. Daniel Moore, assistant superintendent for operations, will assume Brigman’s duties until further notice, the paper reported.
