Anthony Santos Castellon-Rivera, 6, was killed Sunday when he was run over by a white van while he was crossing Eastway Drive near Shamrock Road. His mother and sister, 11, saw it happen.

Police said Thursday they have identified and are searching for a suspect in the case: Juan Antonio Quintanilla-Garza, 32. The van itself was found Tuesday on the 9800 block of Idlewild Road in Matthews, police said. The discovery was made via a tip to Mint Hill police Tuesday.

Anthony and his mother and sister were crossing Eastway Drive at the time of the accident, returning home from paying a light bill. The mother and sister were not injured.

Anyone with information about the driver is asked to call Detective Steve Williams with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department at 704-432-2169 or Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
