Tired of air-conditioned multiplexes that charge $8 or $9 for the latest blockbuster?
You're in luck.
This summer, more places than ever are showing movies outside. From Ballantyne Village in far south Charlotte to the Ben and Jerry's Scoop Shop in Davidson, these flicks offer fresh air, a chance to interact with neighbors and the right price: They're all free.
On July 26, you can even catch a movie from a boat on Lake Norman. As part of its Outdoor Cinema Series, Cornelius will show “We Are Marshall” at Ramsey Creek Park. Spectators can get the audio on boat or hand-held radios.
