A brother and sister died early Thursday when fire destroyed the Cleveland County farmhouse where they had grown up.
The blaze was reported about 2:30 a.m. at a house on Ken McEntire Road near Polkville.

The victims have been identified as Jerry Cook, 68, and his sister Evelyn Bluff, 68, according to NewsChannel 36, the Observer's news partner. Cook was owner of Cook and Bridges Dairy Farm, NewsChannel 36 also reported.
The victims were among 16 siblings who grew up at the house, which is part of a 135-acre farm site.
Three fire departments battled the blaze, bringing it under control in about an hour. Fire officials said Thursday afternoon that the blaze apparently was accidental, and they are looking at an electricl problem as the possible cause.
The fire was discovered by a neighbor, who told authorities that she heard dogs barking, woke up, and saw the house in flames.
