The right lane of the westbound Brookshire Freeway will be closed this morning while crews repair damage from recent flooding in the Charlotte area.
The N.C. Department of Transportation says the lane closure will last about two weeks.

The lane is scheduled to be closed at 9 a.m. A barrier wall will be installed for the safety of workers. The lane closure will be near the on-ramp to northbound Interstate 77,
Motorists should reduce speed and use caution in this work area.
The lane closure could be a particular problem during the afternoon commute, when large numbers of motorists use the Brookshire Freeway from Charlotte's uptown area to reach northbound I-77.
