Search to intensify for woman missing 2 weeks

Family members are planning to distribute missing-person flyers and search on Saturday for Mouy Tang, who disappeared more than two weeks ago from her Cleveland County adult-care home.

Tang, 46, has schizophrenia and requires insulin to control her diabetes.

She wandered from the Unique Living facility near Fallston, about 50 miles west of Charlotte, on Sept. 3. Last week, state investigators shut down the facility after concluding its conditions put residents in imminent danger.

On Monday, divers for the Cleveland County Sheriff's Department searched three small ponds without success. A $15,000 reward offered by Tang's family has also failed to produce leads.

Family members plan to meet at Unique Living, 2904 Philadelphia Road, Lawndale, at 9:30 a.m. Saturday to start their work.
