York County investigators say two people found dead in a house in York were the victims of a murder-suicide.
York County sheriff's Lt. Tim Hager told The Herald of Rock Hill on Tuesday that 56-year-old Bruce Taylor of York shot 59-year-old Mary Brown of Rock Hill before killing himself. Hager said the two had a romantic relationship.
The bodies were found Monday morning after a co-worker called police when Taylor didn't show up for work.
According to a police report, both had been shot in the torso, and a .22-caliber gun was on a night stand near the bodies.
Hager said notes found in the home and interviews with co-workers indicated that Taylor may have been depressed or having other emotional issues. Hager would not detail the contents of the notes.
