Bowing their heads for Charlotte, country

There were a few Obama and McCain buttons, but most of the 400 people who attended the Pray Charlotte '08 event Monday left their political affiliations at home.

Those who attended at the Charlotte Convention Center asked for God's help in solving the country's problems and helping voters make the right choices.

“I'm tired of the partisan bickering,” said Charlottean Jen Sherrel. “I saw this as a time to pray for our nation, to pray that it goes in the right direction.”
