Some of the slowest traffic in the Charlotte region at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday is on Interstate 485 – both in southern and northern Mecklenburg County.
I-485’s inner and outer loops in southern Mecklenburg are slow because of construction and earlier collisions. A disabled vehicle is slowing traffic on the outer loop of I-485 in north Mecklenburg.
But there are other problems on area roadways at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday:
I-77 southbound, Lake Norman area ... Congestion; traffic moving 30-40 mph from Brawley School Road (Exit 35) down to Gilead Road (Exit 23).
