The biggest problem for motorists at 12:50 p.m. Thursday in the region is on northbound Interstate 77 in south Charlotte.
A multi-vehicle wreck involving a jacknifed tractor-trailer was reported shortly after noon on I-77 near Tyvola Road. Traffic came to a standstill for the next half-hour and is still slow as we approach 1 p.m.
Motorists can expect delays for a while.
Another big problem has been cleared – on Albemarle Road (N.C. 24) in Cabarrus County.

A serious wreck forced authorities to close both eastbound lanes of N.C. 24 at Flowes Store Road for about 90 minutes, but the road was reopened about 12:30 p.m. One westbound lane that was closed also has been reopened.
