Today’s traffic: Sardis Road reopened

Sardis Road is open again after being closed much of the night due to downed power lines.

And the rest of the traffic news also is good across the Charlotte region at 7:55 a.m. Friday.

A wreck about 2 a.m. left downed power lines on Sardis Road at Boyce Road, not far from Charlotte Preparatory School. Police closed the road while Duke Energy crews made repairs, which were finished about 6:30 a.m.

The only other traffic problem at 7:55 a.m. is congestion – as usual – on interstate highways and other major routes. And police are working to clear a collision on Lancaster Highway.
