Portion of I-77 closed in Mooresville after wreck

A portion of Interstate 77 south in Mooresville is closed early Wednesday afternoon because of a wreck.

The incident has closed the left lane of I-77 south near the Brawley School Road exit, or mile marker 35, according to the N.C. Department of Transportation website. The lane could reopen shortly after 2 p.m., according to the website.

Earlier, the wreck had closed one lane of I-77 in both directions.

It is not immediately know whether there are any injuries in the wreck.
