Video: Law enforcement torch run for Special Olympics

On Wednesday, about 30 law enforcement officers departed CMPD Headquarters in uptown Charlotte to begin the 2014 Law Enforcement Torch Run, a 13 mile run to the Cabarrus County Line in support of the North Carolina Special Olympics. CMPD officers and other ran north on Tryon St. Wednesday morning. More than 38,000 athletes participate in Special Olympics in North Carolina and the torch run helps to raise more than 50% of the funds needed to put on the games.
