This summer, ImaginOn is allowing children to visit another time and place as they interact with larger-than-life scenes from seven of the world’s most famous fairy tales.
The nationally traveling exhibit “Once Upon a Time, Exploring the World of Fairy Tales” includes images from “Cinderella,” “Beauty and the Beast” and “Jack and the Beanstalk.”
Visitors can climb Jack’s beanstalk, climb into Cinderella’s pumpkin coach or enter the Beast’s palace, where they can play the harpsichord, look inside Beauty’s dressing table and try on costumes to become the story’s characters.
“We hosted the exhibit in 2007, and it was wildly popular with families,” noted ImaginOn manager Jason Hyatt. “Bringing it back now allows a new crop of children to experience their favorite fairy tales and folk tales brought to life. It really inspires children to engage in beloved stories and use their imaginations.”
