Today’s traffic: Congestion slows I-485

Congestion and collisions continue to slow the traffic flow across the Charlotte region at 8:55 a.m. Tuesday.

The heaviest traffic is on the inner loop of Interstate 485 in southeast Mecklenburg County, with stop-and-go conditions between Rea Road and South Boulevard.

It’s also a slow commute on inbound Providence Road and on both sides of Johnston Road between I-485 and the state line.
