No injuries in south Charlotte apartment fire

No injuries were reported Wednesday evening in a south Charlotte apartment fire, authorities say.

The fire was reported about 9 p.m. at an apartment unit in the 2000 block of Stoney Point Lane. That is off Sharon Lakes Road.

Officials said firefighters found flames coming from the apartment unit when they arrived. Authorities said it too a crew of 23 firefighters about 25 minutes to bring the blaze under control.

The American Red Cross said it was providing help for the two adults and two children displaced by the blaze.
