A Charlotte man with an extensive criminal history of robbery and assault was sentenced to 15 years in prison for possession of a stolen firearm.
Reginald Lashawn Lockhart, 30, pleaded guilty in April 2013 to one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Police searched Lockhart’s home in the fall of 2012 after a tip. They found a Smith & Wesson .40-caliber pistol loaded with 15 rounds and later determined that it was stolen, according to court records. He has been in federal custody since November 2012.
Lockhart had six prior convictions for robbery with a dangerous weapon and two prior convictions for assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, according to authorities.
