The 25th anniversary of Hurricane Hugo is approaching, and The Observer would like to talk with some of the people who lived through the historic storm as it crossed the Carolinas.
We’re especially interested in speaking with anyone who was working during the storm when it hit the Charlotte region in the morning hours of Friday, Sept. 22, 1989 – people like nurses, overnight store clerks, police dispatchers.
If you have a story to tell, contact the Observer’s Steve Lyttle, at email@example.com, or 704-358-6107.
