The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has extended by two weeks a comment period on North Carolina’s red wolf recovery program.
The service is reviewing the program and could modify or end the 27-year effort to restore wolves on the North Carolina coast.
An initial comment period ended Friday, but the agency said its servers struggled to keep up with the heavy load of emails.
Comments will be taken until Sept. 26 at email@example.com or can be mailed to: Red Wolf Evaluation, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, 1875 Century Blvd., Suite 200, Atlanta, GA 30345. Bruce Henderson
