There are plenty of traffic trouble spots at 8:45 a.m. Monday across the Charlotte region, with a combination of congestion and collisions responsible for the headaches.
An earlier wreck on southbound Interstate 77 near the West Boulevard interchange has been cleared, but traffic remains slow on I-77. And an earlier collision on the inner loop of I-485 near South Boulevard also is cleared, with residual congestion remaining.

East W.T. Harris Boulevard at The Plaza ... Earlier collision with injuries being cleared; minor delays.
Lawyers Road near Albemarle Road ... Collision; moderate delays.
I-485 inner loop, south Mecklenburg ... Congestion; traffic moving 25-35 mph from Providence Road to I-77.
Independence Boulevard inbound ... Congestion; traffic moving 20-25 mph from Eastway Drive to uptown.
Johnston Road ... Congestion and a wreck at Ballantyne Village Way; traffic moving 15-25 mph northbound from the state line to I-485.
Providence Road inbound ... Congestion; traffic moving 20-25 mph from the Arboretum area to Wendover Road.
I-77 northbound, south Charlotte ... Congestion; traffic moving 25-35 mph from Carowinds Boulevard up to Clanton Road.
Sharon Road at Quail Hollow Road ... Collision; moderate delays.
Billy Graham Parkway ... Congestion; traffic moving 20-25 mph between West Boulevard and I-85.
I-77 southbound, near West Boulevard ... Collision; heavy delays to near I-85.
I-85 northbound, Gaston County ... Traffic moving 15-20 mph from mile marker 22 up to mile marker 26, due to a wreck.
U.S. 321, Gaston County ... Congestion; traffic moving 15-25 mph in each direction between I-85 and Dallas-Cherryville Highway.
