Charlotte District 2 meeting set for Saturday

Charlotte District 2 City Council member Al Austin has scheduled a town hall meeting Saturday.

The meeting will be 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in room 267 of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center, 600 E. Fourth St.

The meeting is open to residents and business representatives from the district, which includes the central business district and neighborhoods such as Third and Fourth Wards, Wesley Heights and others.

The agenda will include an update on District 2 issues, including code enforcement, community safety, planning and neighborhood development. Mayor Dan Clodfelter will speak briefly.

Only the Davidson Street side of the building will be open for entry Saturday morning, and only 8-10 a.m. Elevators will run to the second floor. Free parking will be available in the parking deck on Davidson Street.
