Student hit by vehicle in north Charlotte

A Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools student suffered minor injuries Thursday morning after being struck by a vehicle in north Charlotte, authorities said.

The incident was reported shortly before 9 a.m. on West W.T. Harris Boulevard near Davis Lake Drive, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.

A spokeswoman for CMS said the student attends Ridge Road Middle School and was struck while waiting for a bus to arrive. Medic reported taking the pedestrian to Carolinas Medical Center-University with “minor injuries.”

Police are investigating the incident.
