Children from a Charlotte homeless shelter displayed their “Pictures of Hope” Monday as part of a program to inspire them to consider life’s possibilities. The 15 children, ages 6 to 12, received a free photography lesson and were challenged to photograph their dreams.
Detroit photographer Linda Solomon created the Pictures of Hope program, which is sponsored by Chevrolet and is set to visit 14 cities this year. The photographs have been put on greeting cards, and proceeds from their sale benefit the Salvation Army. The cards are available at www.salvationarmycharlotte.org or by calling April Lancaster at 704-714-4725. Observer Staff Reports
