CATS, city officials hold public meetings on light rail Wednesday

Charlotte Area Transit System and Charlotte city officials will hold the second of two public meetings Wednesday evening to discuss street improvements planned near transit stations along the light-rail line extension in north Charlotte.

The first meeting took place Tuesday night.

Wednesday’s session is 6:30-8 p.m. at the Hampton Park Community Center, 211 Hampton Church Road.

City officials will discuss street improvements planned along the line, which will run from uptown to UNC Charlotte. And CATS officials will provide a construction update on the line.

Residents will have a chance to speak one-on-one with staff members after the main presentation.
