Caldwell County’s health department will host its annual drive-thru flu vaccination clinic Saturday morning.
The clinic is planned from 9 to 11 a.m. at the health department, 2345 Morganton Blvd., in Lenoir. The vaccine being administered this year offers protection against two influenza A (H1N1) viruses and two influenza B viruses.
Members of the public don’t even have to get out of their vehicles at the clinic. Payment can be made with cash, check, current Medicare part B card, current Medicaid cards, or any private insurance card. You must present a copy of your insurance card at the clinic, or you will be charged a $25 fee for the vaccine.
Flu consent forms must be filled out before you receive the vaccine. The forms will be available at the clinic, or you can fill them out in advance. They can be found online at www.caldwellcountync.org, or you can get forms at the county libraries in Lenoir, Hudson or Granite Falls.
