Excessive speed and alcohol are not suspected in a Charlotte traffic accident that killed one driver Thursday evening, according to police.
James Brabble, 53, died after rear-ending a tow truck on Billy Graham Parkway shortly before 6:30 p.m., said Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.
Brabble was driving a 2002 Chrysler Concorde and heading east in the right lane when he collided with the truck, which had stopped due to heavy traffic, officials said.
Both Brabble and the tow truck driver were wearing seat belts, and the tow truck driver sustained only minor injuries, police said.
