After snow and high winds over the weekend created scattered outages for its customers, Blue Ridge Electric said it has restored power to nearly all of its members, save for 4 members in Caldwell County.
Late Saturday, Renée Whitener, director of public relations for Blue Ridge Electric, said more than 340 members remained without power in Ashe County. But that issue was restored later that evening.
“Our linemen are investigating the cause while at the same time working to restore power to these members on this very cold night,” said Renée Whitener, director of public relations, in a statement late Saturday.
Blue Ridge Electric serves some 74,000 members in Caldwell, Watauga, Ashe, Alleghany, Wilkes, Avery and Alexander counties.
