About 400 Duke Energy customers in east Charlotte were without power at 6 a.m. Thursday after a tree fell onto power lines.

The outage is in the area of Lakeside Drive North, off Robinson Church Road and East W.T. Harris Boulevard.

It could be 11 a.m. before power is restored to homes, according to Duke Energy.
